Linda joined the NNHQI Campaign in 2019 as a Clinical Quality Improvement Specialist. She is a Registered Nurse who provides clinical insight and guidance to the Campaign team. She started out in long-term care in the late 1970's as a very young candy striper at the nursing home where her mother worked as a CNA. Linda went on to be a CNA, LPN, RN and then Director of Nursing. She has seen many changes and improvements over the years in long-term care and is excited to help the Campaign with insight from a hands-on clinical perspective. Bettering the lives of residents, families, staff and communities of long-term care is very important to her.
Linda has lived in many different states, but has strong Midwestern roots and currently lives in her home state of Iowa. When she's not busy working, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, especially her two sons, daughter-in-law and 2 grandchildren. One of her favorite pastimes is listening to elders tell stories of their lives. She also loves going to concerts, traveling adventures, the ocean and roller coasters! There haven’t been any deemed too scary to try.
